2011 Teen Choice Awards Nominees & Performers

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards nominees have been made official, with several performers also lined up for the show.  So far we know that Jason Derulo and Avril Lavigne will perform, but the show’s hosts have yet to be announced.  We’re hoping for a Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez co-hosting gig, but that may be asking for too much!

The 2011 Teen Choice Awards official ceremony is scheduled for Sunday, August 7th, and as of this report, it’s scheduled to air on Fox television at 8 PM EST.  As we mentioned, there’s no hosts, but two performers have been announced, Jason Derulo and Avril Lavigne.  All of the nominations for Teen Choice Awards have been announced.

As for the nominees, there’s plenty of them to honor achievements in television, movie and music.  A full PDF is available here.  Some of the big names up for awards include Justin Bieber, Selena Gomez, Michael Cera, “Fast Five,” “Scott Pilgrim vs the World,” Robert Pattinson, Kristen Stewart, Emma Watson, “Black Swan,” “Water for Elephants,” and “The Social Network.”

Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez are nominated for numerous awards this year.  Selena Gomez is nominated for Choice Music Group award.  Selena & The Scene will be up against Black Eyed Peas, Far East Movement, The Script and the cast of “Glee.”  Selena and her group are also nominated for two of their singles, “Who Says” and “Love You Like a Love Song.”

Meanwhile, her boyfriend, Justin Bieber is nominated for the Choice Music Male Artist award.  His competition is also tough with Bruno Mars, Enrique Iglesias, Jason Derulo and Chris Brown!

Justin Bieber is also up for the “Twit” award for his use of Twitter, the Choice Red Carpet Fashion Icon: Male and the Male Hottie award.  If that’s not enough, he’s also up for the Best Villain on TV for his cameo appearance on “CSI.”

With so many nominations it seems viewers may be seeing quite a bit of Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez when the Teen Choice Awards arrive on August 7th, 2011!  They may be up on stage enough to act as this year’s hosts too.

Past hosts for the Teen Choice Awards have included Katy Perry, The Jonas Brothers, Miley Cyrus, Nick Cannon, Dane Cook, Jessica Simpson, David Spade and Usher.  As of this report there are no hosts for the 2011 show, but maybe they are keeping it a big surprise for viewers!  Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez have never hosted the event before, although Selena recently hosted the MuchMusic Awards show.  Maybe it’s Justin Bieber’s turn to host an event?
