2011 Teen Choice Awards – Odds on Favorites to Win

When it comes to the 2011 Teen Choice Awards it appears there’s a select bunch who stand above the rest of the nominees. Kristen Stewart, Robert Pattinson, Justin Bieber and Selena Gomez find themselves among those with the best chances of winning on Sunday.
Over at the website Gold Derby, they’ve posted their various odds for each of the major awards for this Sunday’s Teen Choice Awards. Selena Gomez leads the “Choice Female Hottie” category with 8 to 5 odds, making her a strong favorite to win. She’s trailed by Mila Kunis at 2 to 1 odds, and Nina Dobrev of “Vampire Diaries” fame with 6 to 1 odds. Kim Kardashian is at 8 to 1 odds, while Minka Kelly has tough odds at 33 to 1.
Unfortunately for Justin Bieber, his chances to win the Choice Male Hottie category are not as good. Bieber is currently at 9 to 2 odds on the website, trailing Taylor Lautner (3 to 1) and favorite Robert Pattinson who is at 7 to 5 odds. Joe Jonas has tough odds here. Joe’s listed as a 50 to 1 in terms of his chances at this award. Sorry Joe!
While Bieber may not win the “Hottie” award to match his girlfriend, he’s looking to be the favorite to win Choice Villain award. Bieber has 82% odds to win according to the Gold Derby editors. However, the users on the site are voting in favor of “Glee” and its villain played by Jane Lynch. Fox is hosting the Teen Choice Awards so will this be a snub to Biebs?
It looks like a chance for a big win for “Twilight” stars Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. Just like we mentioned in our predictions post, the odds are heavily in favor of these two for the Choice Sci-Fi/Fantasy actor categories (Male & Female) and in the “Liplock” category. The Editors have given Edward and Bella’s kissing the 73% chance of winning. Taylor Lautner and Kristen Stewart’s kissing ranks second at 18% according to the site’s editors.
While there’s no legal betting on events like the Teen Choice Awards or MTV Movie Awards, it’s still fun to make predictions. Hold a contest with your friends and family to see who can get the most picks right for Sunday night’s Teen Choice Awards 2011!
