Beyonce & Jay-Z Expecting 1st Child: Rapper Confirmed it Earlier?
At the 2011 MTV Video Music Awards on Sunday night, one of the big surprises of the night came from singer Beyonce. The R&B confirmed during MTV’s pre-show black carpet event that she and husband Jay-Z were expecting their first child. Here at TV, Music & Movie Stars we have to wonder if Jay-Z confirmed it earlier than that though!
Jay-Z is part of the highly-successful new rap album, “Watch The Throne” along with his rap partner, Kanye West. One song on the album called “New Day is a bit of an ode to Jay and Kanye’s future sons. In Jay’s verse of the song he says to a future son:
Sorry junior, I already ruined ya
‘Cause you ain’t even alive, paparazzi pursuin’ ya
Sins of a father make yo’ life ten times harder
I just wanna take ya to a barber
Bondin’ on charters, all the shit that I never did
Teach ya good values, so you cherish it
Took me 26 years to find my path
My only job is cuttin’ the time in half
So at 13 we’ll have our first drink together
Black bar mitzvahs, mazel tov, mogul talk
Look a man dead in his eyes
So he know you talk truth when you speak it, give your word, keep it
And if the day comes I only see him on the weekend
I just pray we was in love on the night that we conceived him
Promise to never leave him even if his mama tweakin’
Cause my dad left me and I promise never repeat him
Never repeat him, never repeat him..
If Jay-Z’s verse proves correct, he and Beyonce will be having a baby boy. That will give Jay-Z exactly what he forecasted in the song, and potential for another “Just the 2 of Us” style Will Smith rap in the future. Well maybe not that far, but imagine how a Beyonce and Jay-Z child will carry on the family legacy of superstardom? Also, imagine being born into that high amount of wealth and fame?
Wow! Is it possible that rapper Jay-Z already knew a child was on the way when he and West recorded this track? We’re also wondering if the baby will be called “Baby Z” until the gender is known. Also, will Kanye West by the Godfather of the child?
