New ‘Dark Knight Rises’ Trailer Video Released Online
As of Monday night, a brand new “Dark Knight Rises” trailer video was released on YouTube by Warner Brothers. This preview comes ahead of the trailer’s official unveiling on movie screens everywhere when Marvel’s “The Avengers” hits theaters on Friday, May 4th.
In the brand new “Dark Knight Rises” trailer, the third one shown, more of the latest Batman movie plot is revealed. This will be director Christopher Nolan’s final installment in the trilogy, following “The Dark Knight,” which was nominated for a Best Picture Oscar several years ago. Starring in this latest edition will be Christopher Bale reprising his role as Batman, along with Anne Hathaway as “Catwoman,” Tom Hardy as the villain “Bane,” Joseph Gordon Levitt as a police officer, Gary Oldman as Commissioner Gordon, Morgan Freeman as Lucius Fox, Michael Caine as Alfred Pennyworth, and Marion Cotillard as Miranda Tate.
The new YouTube trailer video, seen below, features a much more intense look at the plot and new scenes from the film. These include what appears to be the kidnapping of Bruce Wayne/Batman by Bane, Wayne’s meeting with Selina Kyle (Catwoman), and her involvement in the movie as Catwoman. Other scenes feature plenty of Joseph Gordon Levitt discussing the disappearance of Batman, and the destruction of one large bridge. Not to mention a look at Batman’s toys including what appears to be the Batwing, and the “Tumbler.”
See the trailer on the big screen on Friday, May 4th’s Avengers movie trailers. “The Dark Knight Rises” will hit movie theaters on July 20th, 2012 in standard versions and IMAX, but not 3-D format.
